The following changes are now on the online SAG:
Tin analysis has been updated from OSHA ID -121 AP 4; ICP to NIOSH 7303; ICP.
This means:
- Tin samples no longer need to be sampled, digested or analyzed any different than NIOSH 7303 samples
- There is no longer any bias for Tin by NIOSH 7303
- Tin can now be done as a same day (It couldn’t before due to the long digestion time)
- Tin cannot be done on DIS- it failed initial DIS method development
- This is for Tin only and does NOT apply to Silver, that must still be sampled and digested separately. There is no plan to develop Silver this way- it will not work in NIOSH 7303.

- Furfuryl Alcohol by GC/FIG method NIOSH 2505, the LOQ has been lowered from 10ug to 5ug using sampling collection volume of 6-25L. This is to meet the 2016 ACGIH Notice of Intended Changes.
- Nitrogen Dioxide by in-house method WT-SOP-14 (Colormetric) has been noted as “protect samples from light” and “ship overnight refrigerated”
- Silica, crystalline by NIOSH 7500 – al methods have been noted as the preferred method over the IR method (NIOSH 7603).
