Trichloroethene comes in the form of a colorless liquid with a chloroform-like odor.  It is used as an industrial solvent.

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, skin absorption, or skin/eye contact.  It can cause irritation of the eyes and skin; it can also cause headache, visual disturbance, weakness, dizziness, tremor, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, dermatitis, cardiac arrhythmia, paresthesia, and liver injury.
