Sampling & Analysis

Peracetic acid (PAA) and Hydrogen Peroxide

Peracetic acid (PAA) and Hydrogen Peroxide FEE PER SAMPLE: $206 METHOD: In-House: LC-SOP-57; HPLC/UV
Air volume is recommended not to exceed 15L. Sampling for Peracetic Acid must be performed with the filter (225-9030 or equivalent) and tube (226-193UC) in series and both must be sent to the laboratory for Hydrogen Peroxide and Peracetic Acid analysis, respectively. Please note that Peracetic Acid (PAA) readily decomposes to Hydrogen Peroxide and Acetic Acid in workplace atmospheres. Independent studies performed in an Exposure Chamber have shown that combined Hydrogen Peroxide and Peracetic Acid results correlate well with actual concentrations of PAA under conditions of 50% relative humidity (based upon a 1 L/min sampling rate).
