Spectroscopy Week

The virtual Spectroscopy Week meeting, May 24-27, is where international technical experts and scientists apply and demonstrate real-world spectroscopy applications.
SGS senior staff scientist Lawrence Wayne will be among many worldwide experts when he is the first meeting presenter on Monday, May 24, 10 am (EDT), on “Understanding trace materials analysis investigations.” His presentation is a detailed overview of trace analysis including identification of materials, analytical techniques, and examples of projects he has undertaken. Wayne has been a trace materials investigator for 33 years and his experience includes R&D for new SGS service lines, including wildfire residue testing, respirable silica by FTIR and trace materials analysis investigations using various techniques of microscopy and vibrational spectroscopy.
