Zinc
Sampling & Analysis

Zinc comes in the form of a lustrous blue-white brittle metal.  It is used as an alloy in the manufacture of solders, in die casts, and in pigments.

The substance enters the body through ingestion, and can cause abdominal pain and vomiting.  However, Zinc more often affects the body as a gas or powder (Zinc Sulfate or Zinc Oxide) and can cause inhalation injuries, such as chills, fever, nausea, dry throat, cough, weakness, headache, blurred vision, vomiting, breathing difficulty, and chest pain.
