Lithium hydroxide Sampling & Analysis
Lithium Hydroxide (as alkaline dust) comes in the form of colorless hygroscopic crystals. The dust is produced as the substance is broken down, and enters the body through inhalation or ingestion. It is corrosive to the eyes, skin and the respiratory tract. Inhalation can cause lung edema. Exposure may result in death, although the effects may be delayed from time of exposure.
