Sampling & Analysis

Copper comes in the form a reddish, malleable, ductile metal.  It is used in electrical components and plumbing piping; as an alloy, it is used in coins and analytical chemistry.

The substance enters the body through ingestion, inhalation, or skin/eye contact.  It can cause abdominal pain, intestinal pain, nausea, and vomiting; it can also cause respiratory irritation and coughing, as well as redness/irritation of the skin and/or eyes.
