Methyl Bromide comes in the form of a colorless gas with a chloroform-like odor.  It is used as a soil sterilant, as well as an intermediate in the creation of other compounds.

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, skin absorption, or skin/eye contact.  It can cause irritation of the eyes, skin, and respiratory system; it can also cause weakness, incoordination, visual disturbance, dizziness, headache, malaise, nausea, vomiting, hand tremor, convulsions, and difficulty breathing.  In its liquid form, it can cause frostbite.
