Acetic acid Sampling & Analysis
Acetic acid comes in the form of a colorless liquid or crystals with a sour, vinegar-like odor. A pure compound is solid below 62°F.
Acetic Acid is absorbed into the body through inhalation, skin, or eye contact. It causes irritation to the eyes, skin, nose, and/or throat. It can also cause eye and skin burns, skin sensitization, dental erosion, black skin, hyperkeratisis, conjunctivitis, lacrimation (discharge of tears), pharyngeal edema, or chronic bronchitis. It is corrosive to metals and tissue, and is used to make other chemicals, as a food additive, and in petroleum production.
