Sulfuric Acid is a colorless oily liquid. It can also exist as ice- or fiber-like crystals or as a gas. It is used to make fertilizers, explosives, other acids, glue and other chemicals, in petroleum refining, in iron and steel production, and in lead-acid batteries used in many automotive vehicles.

Sulfuric Acid is a known human carcinogen.  It can be enter the body through inhalation, ingestion, or skin/eye contact.  It causes severe irritation of the eyes, skin, nose, and throat.  It can cause burns of the skin or inside the mouth, nose or throat.  It causes labored breathing and shortness of breath, coughing, vomiting, shock, collapse, a burning sensation behind the breastbone, and abdominal pain.  It can cause pulmonary edema, bronchitis, emphysema, and conjunctivitis.
