Methylene Chloride comes in the form of a colorless liquid with a mildly sweet odor.  It occurs in nature, but is also used as an inhalation anesthetic, in aerosols, in paint removers, and in the pharmaceutical industry.

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, or skin/eye contact.  It can cause severe irritation of the eyes, skin, and mucous membrane; it can also cause headache, dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, nausea, unconsciousness, and death.
