Methyl Cellosolve Acetate comes in the form of a colorless liquid with a mild ether-like odor.  It is used as a solvent, as well as in airplane de-icing agents.

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, skin absorption, or skin/eye contact.  It can cause irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat, as well as coughing, shortness of breath, pulmonary edema, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry skin, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, weakness, unconsciousness, and kidney and brain damage.
