Ethyl benzene
Sampling & Analysis

Ethylbenzene comes in the form of a highly flammable, colorless liquid with gasoline-like odor.  It is used as an intermediate in the production of styrene and other chemical products.

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, or skin/eye contact.  It can cause irritation of the eyes, skin, and mucous membrane; it can also cause dermatitis, headache, narcosis, and coma.
