Sampling & Analysis

Epichlorohydrin comes in the form of a clear liquid with a slightly stinging, chloroform-like odor.  It is used in the production of glycerol, plastics, and epoxy glues and resins.

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, skin absorption, or skin/eye contact.  It can cause severe irritation of the eyes and skin, as well as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, respiratory distress, and coughing.
