Diisobutyl Ketone comes in the form of a clear, colorless liquid.  It is used as a as a solvent for nitrocellulose, crepe rubber, and vinylite, and as an intermediate in the synthesis of inhibitors, pharmaceuticals, dyes, and insecticides. 

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, or skin/eye contact.  It can cause skin and eye irritation, as well as throat, respiratory tract, and abdominal irritation.
