Sampling & Analysis

Carbon Tetrachloride comes in the form of a clear, colorless, volatile liquid.  It is used in the dry-cleaning industry, as well as a refrigerant and a solvent for oils and fats.

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, skin absorption, or skin/eye contact.   It irritates the eyes, nose, and skin; it also causes nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, incoordination, and central nervous system depression.
