Butyl Cellosolve Acetate comes in the form of a colorless liquid with a sweet, fruity odor.  It is used as a solvent for lacquers, varnishes, enamels, and as an ink and spot remover.

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, skin absorption, or skin/eye contact.  It causes the irritation of eyes, skin, nose, and throat; it can also cause blood in the urine, hemolysis, headache, vomiting, and central nervous system depression.
