Butyl Carbitol comes in the form of a colorless, almost odorless clear liquid.  It is used in pesticides, hydraulic brake fluid, soaps, dyes, and polymers.

The substance enters the body through inhalation, ingestion, or skin/eye contact. It can cause severe irritation of the skin, eyes, and upper respiratory system.
