Don’t Miss 9/23 Silica Compliance Deadline!

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) deadline for enforcement of the respirable crystalline silica standard for construction is September 23, 2017. “Don’t get caught under the gun to comply with the new silica rules,” Joe Unangst, vice president, SGS EHS, says. The SAG was updated with the following: The LOQ for Phthalic anhydride on treated GFF by HPLC (mod. OSHA 90) has decreased from 10 ug to 0.5 ug.  In addition, method notes have been added stating “ A minimum air volume of 250L is required to meet the OSHA PEL.” LEEDv4 VOCs by GCMS mod.
