Accounts Receivable Specialist

Full-time, non-exempt position now available for a client-focused, Accounts Receivable Specialist within our Accounting Department. Must be detail-oriented, able to multitask and work independently in an often fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate will also understand and enjoy working with general ledger journal entries, reconciliations and month-end close processes.

Anticipated hours: M-F, 8 am to 5 pm with occasional overtime, as required.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Contact clients on a daily basis regarding open invoices.
  • Responsible for maintaining Collections Report.
  • Responsible for Client Account Maintenance including: new account set-up, assigning unique account codes and address updates, etc. to ensure accuracy of accounts in dual systems
  • Complete EDI invoicing as needed.
  • Identify and resolve any payment discrepancies
  • Perform revisions to client invoices as needed.
  • Schedule credit card payments as invoices are issued.
  • Assist with cash receipts and research unapplied payments.
  • Complete month-end financial closing processes as assigned.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts for external audit purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to: Attend data integrity training and Lab training as required; Operate within the guiding principles of the company; Insure cleanliness of work area and perform other duties and analyses as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Fluent experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Solid G/L experience necessary.
  • Proven Customer Service experience necessary.

KSA (knowledge, skills & abilities):

Ability to multi-task; good organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to operate in a high volume production environment and meet deadlines; strong verbal, listening and written skills; punctuality; professional, friendly appearance and demeanor. Ability to learn new accounting systems is expected.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to regularly climb stairs, occasionally reach with hands and arms, bend, twist and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds; regularly sit while using a computer, phone and other technologies. Strong oral, listening and written communications skills are required.

Prep Technician - Pump Loan Specialist - Syracuse, NY

Description:

Full-time technician position available  in our East Syracuse, NY office. Energetic individual with excellent time management skills is needed to work on the calibration and repair of equipment and pumps, perform quality control checks, shipping and receiving of equipment, preps for clients, as well as other projects as assigned. We will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Calibrates pumps and equipment for daily preps.
  • Performs quality control checks.
  • Satisfies all daily prep requests including QC of requests.
  • Provides total client responsiveness.
  • Responsible for the timely response to all e-mail, voicemail, verbal and written requests.
  • Responsible for continually looking for ways to improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree and one year of general business experience or High School diploma and three years of general business experience.
  • Team player, well organized, conscientious, mechanical aptitude, production orientation, computer literate.

Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 4 hours at a time. Requires use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation to effectively handle delicate samples, equipment and/or small tools. Requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching in all directions. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Prep Technician Texas Office

Description:

Full-time technician position needed in our Dickinson, TEXAS office.  Ideal candidate is an energetic individual with excellent time management skills tp work on the calibration and repair of equipment and pumps, perform quality control checks, shipping and receiving of equipment, preps for clients, as well as other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  1. Calibrates rental equipment and pumps to client specifications for daily preps.
  2. Checks in returned equipment, receives incoming deliveries and prepares outgoing sample and prep shipments.
  3. Satisfies all daily prep requests including QC of requests.
  4. Provides total client responsiveness.
  5. Maintains instruments and follows preventive maintenance schedules.
  6. Review, schedule and prioritize workload, perform preventive maintenance and monitor instrument capability, ensure that all QC procedures are followed and that they meet necessary criteria.
  7. Receives all incoming samples and verifies accuracy of Chain of Custody submitted.
  8. Maintains media inventory

Lab Analysts - GCMS & XRD

Description:

Full-time and part-time positions available in Syracuse, NY in the following laboratories:

  • Gas Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy (GCMS) laboratory. Must have strong analytical skills and demonstrate responsibility, innovation, independence, have leadership qualities and enjoy working in a continuous improvement team environment.
  • X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). Growing X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) Laboratory. XRD preps and analyzes samples on x-ray diffraction instrumentation then evaluates the data and reports those results to clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science required … the area of Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science is preferred. FT, PT, entry level and experienced positions are available. Overtime may be required at times.
